• Resume Data: Resumes and candidate information uploaded by users for analysis
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Service
• Device Information: Browser type, device type, and IP address

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide AI-powered resume analysis and candidate evaluation
• Improve and optimize our Service
• Communicate with you about your account and our Service
• Ensure the security and integrity of our platform
• Authorized KatScan personnel may access uploaded files and candidate data, including stored resume files (PDF and DOCX) and the candidate information they contain, on a strict need-to-know basis in order to operate, support, secure, troubleshoot, debug, and improve the Service. This access is limited to what is necessary, is logged internally, and is never used to make hiring decisions.

3. AI Processing

Resume and candidate data is processed by artificial intelligence systems to provide analysis and insights. This data is used solely for providing the Service and is not used to train AI models without your explicit consent, subject to the limited exception in Section 6.4 of the Terms of Service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating our Service (e.g., cloud hosting)
• When required by law or to protect our rights
• With your explicit consent

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest

We retain candidate application materials and analysis output on the basis described in Section 8 of the Terms of Service, which requires them to be kept for at least four years. We retain other account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
